Golf Channel Fantasy Comes True

On Monday I'm watching TGC in my office and thinking, wow, 'I wish I could be on The Golf Channel giving a swing lesson with her?"
On Tuesday, strange things started to happen . . .
The next thing you know, I'm hosting Morning Drive!

Talking SCAD Golf and letting the world know how much fun Andres is . . .

Working the news desk . . .

And giving some lessons in the swing simulator! Dreams coming true!

Two things about Emily - plus a bonus affirmation for turning 21!

Mom:

1. I love how Emily exemplifies the motto-"When the going gets tough- The tough get going! "She has demonstrated this over and over in golf, school and even during her breakup. She went out and met new people and made new friends. I'm so proud of her!

2. Emily is a true friend to those who deserve it. She goes out of her way to show kindness and is generous and fair. But Emily also doesn't waste too much time on those who don't deserve her love. It's a great combination! I love you E!

Sally:

1. I love Emily's since of humor and how she isn't afraid to laugh at herself or whatever situation she may be in. Or laugh at me when I'm being dramatic. It's a great characteristic and one I often envy. She is so down to earth and comfortable in her own skin and I admire that a lot. She won't have as many wrinkles as me when we are old because she is able to "brush it off" so effectively.

2. I love how Emily can adapt and be a friend to so many people who have so many different personalities. She is accepting of all and makes everyone feel special in their own way.

3. I have to do three. I also love how Emily can't tell a story in less than 10 minutes and how even though people interrupt her she just keeps going and refuses to give up.

Mom:

"I'll do three too."

3. I love how Emily can "cry it out " when sad. It may take a while- but she makes sure she gets it all out. That's another reason she won't have wrinkles!

Lucy: "Wait, why does she get 3?"

Mom: "Haha. She's had to wait the longest!"

Lucy:

1. I love how meme always makes an effort to call or text me AT LEAST once a week to just catch up and talk about life. She's always curious to know how things are going and is willing to listen to anything I want to talk about.

2. I love how Emily always keeps up with our little inside jokes and traditions. Whether it be doing cartoon eyes or rubbing my forehead or even making Christmas lists together she always tries to keep as many of them going as possible even while she's away.

3. I love how Emily is always giving what she does 110% and does it with a positive attitude, even when things are tough with coach or the team at golf or in school. She's been an incredible big sister and been an amazing role model for me to look up to.

Dad:

1. Emily has so much to offer this world and is building herself step-by-step. Her unique experiences at places like Westlake High School, SCAD, LLYC, and on the golf course are making her into an amazing young woman. She will one day look back and see how these experiences contributed to something very special.

2. I love how Emily values our family so much. As the middle child, she is the connector between her big and little sisters and she takes that role very seriously and it makes me so happy.

3. I love how Emily is pursuing her passion in fashion design and how she has her eyes wide-open to the possibilities that are in the world to those who believe in themselves and who are willing to work hard.

Happy 21st Birthday Emily. We all love you very much!
