Hey girls,
Lucy, Mom and I were really into watching the election results last night. Lucy reported that 98 percent of Hill Country Middle School voted for Romney. Lucy's teachers showed her how Texas is predominantly conservative, while Austin is predominantly liberal, while Westlake is predominantly conservative. At mom's elementary school on the East side of Austin, the vote was 99 percent for President Obama, just as Lucy learned last night. That is a factor of the minority vote, in this case mom's school being all Hispanic.
Here's an article that Uncle Ricky sent this morning, stressing that Obama winning the women and the minority vote kept him in office. The Republican Party is going to have to find a fiscal conservative, who can appeal to women and minorities to take back the white house.
Onward and upward,
Dad
