3D Printing - something big!
Hey Girls on Stay Whole Tuesday,
3D Printing is making lots of headlines these days and Autodesk is well positioned to be a leader in this exciting new field. I noticed 'fashion printing' mentioned in this article. I also saw that Autodesk sponsored the keynote speech at SXSW yesterday, which was delivered by MakerBot CEO Bre Pettis. We have formed a strong alliance with MakerBot, the leading manufacturer of 3D printers.
Think about how this is going to change things in your respective careers. Sally, wouldn't it be interesting if you could simply print a full scale replica of a piece of furniture or of a home accessory in order to show a client what it looks like in their home? Emily, what if you could print a pair of shoes in different shapes, sizes and colors at minimal cost?
I think Emily told me she is taking a 3D drawing class next quarter?
Love,
Dad
