NUGGETS FROM DAD began in the fall of 2010 when our oldest daughter left for college. (Make it a Great Monday; Stay Whole Tuesday; Woman Power Wednesday; Make Anything Thursday; and Fit as a Fiddle Friday.) Fourteen years later, we have a UGA grad, a SCAD grad, a Fightin' Texas Aggie grad, and 1500 nuggets! Fit as a Fiddle Friday - Design Challenge
Hey talented daughters, this looks to be fun and something you might share with your design friends. Core77, Autodesk and iFixit challenge you or your team to design a smart product that is smarter environmentally; a product that can be repaired and will stand the test of time, even if some of its components need to be replaced. Rethink the design of average household appliances, electronics, lighting, toys—any and all kinds of products that are ripe for a lower-impact redesign. Check out the contest here.
I think anything you guys can do in your school work (or project work) that gives you experience in 'sustainability and environmentally-friendly materials' will really help broaden your career options.
