MOM:

1. I LOVE PAGE FOR THE KINDNESS, LOVE, AND PATIENCE HE HAS SHOWN ME AND THE FAMILY OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS. HE IS UNWAVERING.

2. I HAVE ALWAYS APPRECIATED PAGE'S LOVE OF SPORTS. IT HAS KEPT OUR MARRIAGE FUN AND COMPETITIVE IN THE RIGHT WAY. IT'S IMPORTANT TO COMPETE AND THEN SOMETIMES CHEER FOR THE SAME TEAM. HE IS A TRUE GAMER.

T:

1. I LOVE HOW PAGE IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A WAY TO SUPPORT AND CONNECT PEOPLE. HE OFFERED TO CONNECT OUR WAITRESS AT HOUSTON'S WITH NBC IN AN ATTEMPT TO HELP HER SUCCEED IN HER ACTING CAREER. THESE THINGS NEVER GO UNNOTICED, YET RECOGNITION IS THE FARTHEST THING FROM WHAT HE WANTS.

2. PAGE GETS SUCH A THRILL WHEN WATCHING OR PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS. IT TAKES ME BACK TO THE FEELING OF BEING A KID AND ENAMORED WITH THE SIMPLE THINGS LIKE COMPETITION AND FUN. I ENJOY BEING AROUND SOMEONE SO FULL OF ENERGY FOR ANYTHING TO DO WITH SPORTS, AND THE FEELING IS CONTAGIOUS!

SALLY:

1. I LOVE DAD'S ABILITY TO ALWAYS INCLUDE. HE IS CONSTANTLY THINKING OF OTHERS AND WHO HE CAN CONNECT OR INTRODUCE. HE IS A GOOD LISTENER AND REMEMBERS TO FOLLOW UP WITH PEOPLE ON WHAT THEY HAVE MENTIONED TO HIM IN PAST CONVERSATIONS. HE PROVIDES AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF A LEADER IN THIS WAY FOR OUR FAMILY AND FOR MANY OTHERS. EVERYONE WANTS TO BE FRIENDS WITH DAD.

2. I LOVE HOW DAD CREATES TRADITIONS (LIKE THIS ONE) FOR OUR FAMILY. HE UNDERSTANDS THEIR IMPORTANCE AND HAS TAUGHT ALL OF US THE VALUE OF OUR LOVE AND AFFIRMATION TOWARDS ONE ANOTHER. LOVE YOU G!

EMILY:

1. I LOVE THAT DAD IS SO CARING. HE ALWAYS FINDS WAYS TO RELATE TO ME AND MAKES AN EFFORT TO KEEP UP WITH OUR LIVES. HE LOVES HIS GIRLS AND WORKS SO HARD FOR US.

2. I LOVE THAT DAD IS THE MOST SOCIAL GUY I KNOW. HE TRULY CARES ABOUT EVERY CONNECTION HE MAKES AND LOVES TO HELP PEOPLE, WHETHER IN CAREERS OR JUST LIFE. WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE HIM! THANKS FOR BEING MY DAD.

LUCY:

1. I LOVE HOW EAGER DAD IS TO HELP ME WITH COLLEGE ESSAYS AND EVERYTHING ELSE TOO. HE IS ALWAYS UPLIFTING IN A VERY STRESSFUL TIME AND I AM SUPER THANKFUL TO HAVE A DAD WHO WANTS TO BE INVOLVED. 

2. I LOVE HOW HARD DAD WORKS. I KNOW HE HAS A LOT GOING ON BUT I ALWAYS APPRECIATE AND AM INSPIRED BY HIS WORK ETHIC. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DAD!

Two Things for T - Happy Birthday BIL / SIL

Emily: (1) I love how Taylor is very thoughtful. He always thinks about his actions and words before he speaks and adds a lot to a conversation. (2) I love how Taylor is always my drinking buddy. It's nice to have a bro in the fam! We can't wait!

Lucy: (1) I love how Taylor is so chill. It takes a lot to put up with us crazy sisters and our entire extended family, but he's always a calming presence in the midst of the chaos and a great addition to the family. (2) I love how T is so easy to talk to. I love our car rides when I drive Sally and Taylor around Austin and when we get to just hang out! I love you T! Happy birthday future BIL!

Sally: (1) I love how Taylor is wise beyond his years. He has an understanding of what is truly important and worth worry or investment and what is not. He's the best advice giver and extremely tactical and practical. Those traits will take him very far. He is looked up to by our friends (and me) and I'm so excited I get to be his First Lady. (2) I love how Taylor has a quirky and unexpected sense of humor that catches people off guard. He is often unaware of how funny he is, which makes it even better.

MIL: (1) I appreciate Taylor's patience and love toward our family. He has a knack for keeping quiet when necessary and speaking up when needed. (2) I also love receiving Taylor's thank you notes. The notes are genuine and thoughtful. There is absolutely nothing better than receiving a thank you note from Taylor. I am so happy that T will soon be a welcomed member/ male to our family! Happy Birthday Taylor!

FIL: (1) I am thrilled to be getting such a fine young man as my new golfing buddy and another male voice in the family. It makes me super happy to see how he treats Sally and how much he cares about the things in life that are the most important. (2) I appreciate Tayior's business acumen and unique path that he has carved out for himself inside of Aon. He is going places for sure and it will be fun to cheer him on!

Emily - 10 Birthday Affirmations

Sally: I love Emily's quirky sense of humor and how she is never afraid to tell you what is on her mind. She is so genuine and makes everyone around her feel comfortable and included. 

Taylor: Emily has a contagious, fun personality and constantly looks to include everyone in whatever she is doing. 

Lucy: I love how accepting Emily is of anyone and everyone. She's so kind to all and has been a great role model for me.

Mom: One of my favorite things about Emily is how she can bloom where she is planted. She has landed in some unsteady places in her life, but she manages to find the good, make friends and not only persevere, but shine! 

Dad: Emily has always been a gamer and she gives her all to everything she does. Whether running cross-country, in goal, on the court, or on the course, she plays for the joy of the game with a smile on her face - the same way she approaches everything in life.

Sally: I love how Emily is always willing to talk and listen. I love getting her little updates about work and her NYC life. She is always 100% present with you when you spend time with her whether its in person or on the phone. 

Taylor: She has killer dance moves, and won't hesitate to show them off. 

Lucy: I love how Em takes care of me. We've grown to love and support each other so much and I can't imagine my world without her. She always calls me and makes sure my world is good and makes sure we keep up. I love you a whole lot MeMe!

Mom:  Appreciate and admire the way Emily can laugh at herself. She is funny and witty and loves to tell a good story even if it is about herself. Keep living and experiencing life to the fullest, Emily. There is so much more fun to be had!

Dad: She has the world's greatest eraser collection and I get to keep it safely until she needs it one day. And, she got us all sweatshirts with our letters! And I can't wait to watch some golf with her in Florida next week . . .

Lucy May Singletary - 17th birthday - 2 things

Emily

1. I love Lucy for her amazing attitude and cool girl character! She has so many friends and makes everyone around her smile! 

2. I love that Lucy is always the best person to have around. I miss you so much Lu and wish we could have lazy days together all the time. Happy 17th to the best little sister!!!

Sally

1. I love Lucy's amazing ability to stay grounded in her faith and keep it as her center throughout all of the many aspects of her life. She puts God first always and she is wise beyond her years to already understand the importance of that. 

2. I love Lucy's willingness to love and support so many friends! She is an example of someone who genuinely loves others and brings them into her circle no matter the circumstances or grievances. She also never holds it against anyone if they make different decisions than she does. She is accepting and caring above all else and that's something that will take her SO far in life. I love you baby Lu! 

Dad

1. She's my Tar Heel fan and I love watching games with her.

2. She is so solid in her faith and so smart in how she balances her life. She is able to handle a busy schedule with ease, because she uses great time management and focus.

Mom

1. I love how Lucy has special friends from her different areas of life and she makes them all feel welcome and loved. She is a great connector and a great friend to others.

2. Her spirituality and faith are so strong and it is inspiring to see Lucy study and grow in her faith. She is also super organized and balanced in her life.

1. Sally is an amazing daughter who is such a great help with our new condo. I love how she is so passionate about her work and how she is helping us design such a cool and functional new space.
2. I love Sally's boyfriend, now fiancé Taylor. She has chosen well and I know they will have an awesome engagement and wedding.

Taylor

1. Sally handles every situation with the best interests of others in mind, humbling herself.
2. Sally works exhaustively at perfecting her craft, as evidenced by the tremendous responsibility she is given at work. She has excelled and yet manages to stay grounded at the same time.

Lucy

1. I love how sally is so driven. Her work ethic is so inspiring and it's been so cool to watch her grow up into such a successful and cool woman
2. I love how sal is so confident and knows what she wants. It's an awesome quality to have and I admire it greatly.

Mom

1. Sally is very inclusive, kind and generous. I love the way she is always thinking of others by organizing dinner parties and picking out the perfect gift.
2. I love how quirky and fun Sally is. You really never know what is going to pop into that pretty little head of hers.

Emily

1. I love how funny Sally is. She always has some story to tell me or even the way she responds to my stories always makes me laugh. Everyone who meets Sally loves her and that is a true accomplishment!

2. I love that Sally has worked very hard to get to where she is in her job, social life, and future marriage. I am so proud of her for always being goal oriented and having a truly happy life. She has to do everything first and I am so lucky to get to come right behind her. I can't wait to be by her side on her wedding day and be ALMOST right across from T! Exciting things to come.

Happy Birthday Cathy Singletary - Greatest Mom Ever!

Lucy:

1. I love how close mom and I have gotten over the past 5 years of being the only girls in the house. We laugh together all the time and I can tell her everything. I'm so lucky to have a mom like that and I love her so much!

2. I love how much everyone I know loves mom. Today Avery Brotzman told me how sweet momma is and I hear that from so many people every day. Also all of my friends love her and it's so fun to have such an amazing mom! Thanks for giving me someone to look up to, mommy :)

Sally:

1. I love how mom gives 100% to everything she is involved in, whether it's taking care of kids, planning my wedding, working on the house, or drinking wine (jk). She shows up and is present and is always willing to listen, even when she has a million things on her plate. When you get her, you get all of her. That is something not many people can say that about their moms. 

2. I love how all of my friends love my mom. It doesn't matter if they've met her once or a million times, they always ask how she is. I am so proud to have a mom like you and will never ever take it for granted that all of my friends and coworkers consider you a friend too. 

Emily:

1. I love that Mom is my best friend. She is always there to listen to what happened in my day and is always supportive of her girls. We are so lucky to have such a cool mom!

2. I love that everyone loves mom and loves to invite her to things. She is always on her way somewhere and I hope I can handle life as well as her when I'm a Mom.
