3D Printing - a factory on every desk

Here is a really cool article on 3D printing. This technology (like all technologies) is dropping in cost, to the point where we will soon be able to have access to 3D printing the same way we now have access to regular printers. This means you (or your sisters) could design something and then actually print a prototype showing how your design would look in the real world. You might design a piece of furniture or a home accessory. Emily might design a dress or a shoe. Lucy might design a stun gun to keep the middle school boys from getting too close. All kinds of possibilities.
