A little food video popped up on mom's phone. We are lucky to have such a fantastic cook in our family! And Kyle's not a bad backup to have around as well. (-; Make it a Great Monday, Lucy May!

Happy Fit as a Fiddle Friday youngest Lucy May. I woke to a fun message on my UNC Buds thread. Hank Ralston and Rick Magee were in Timeout this week with Uncle Ricky and Hank shared this from an email he sent a few years ago. I know all my girls agree!
"Eddie (Williams) is still there and still owns the place, but he works mainly during the day nowadays. Billy was the late-night man (Eddie, too, in the old days). The biscuits are as good as ever. Both of my children have been raised to believe you do NOT go to Chapel Hill without a stop at Time Out. Once we went to a football game, a basketball game, and had two meals at Time Out all on one Saturday--that was nearly the perfect day."

Like in the States, the Pandemic brought a boom to golf in the UK. So clubs in our village have a waiting list. I have joined a small club north of us, known as Sudbury Golf Club, with a beautiful course overlooking the city designed by Harry Colt. The members there have been so lovely and welcoming.
Last Saturday, I played in a four-ball as the guest of Brad Berwick at The Richmond Golf Club, a parkland track in the village of Petersham in Surrey located a few minutes from our home. The club borders Richmond Park (one of London's 8 Royal Parks) and shares a rich history and abundance of wildlife. Golf always amazes me as such a great connector of people. Or, in your words, "If you play golf, you are my friend!"
Playing with Aarne Aho, Andy Frost, and Brad, we had a spectacular walk followed by drinks in the stately clubhouse, where I met the first woman to be 'Captain' of the club, Captain Tamsin Loke. (Tamsin followed 129 men in this role!) Meaningful to me, as it was the same day Cathy and I learned that Austin Country Club's membership committee would be formally reviewing Emily's application for membership. Here's a short video of Tamsin sharing what it meant to her to be selected for this role.
Most clubs in England have a Captain, a Lady's Captain, and a Junior Captain. The Captains coordinate and play in golf activities throughout the year, at the club and around the section. The Captain also has a chosen charity that the club supports. I love this idea and wish I could bring it back to the States one day.
Maybe I will,

Lucy,
Mom and I are so impressed with your continued efforts to serve your Young Life team and lift up your group of kids at Rudder High School. With just one semester of college left, it would be easy to 'pack it in' and choose to spend your time on other things. Here's a short video that spoke to me as we finish our fiscal year at Autodesk and also reminds me of how you are approaching your last semester of college.
Thanks for being my daughter,
Dad
This is an excellent video to understand the breadth and depth of Autodesk's portfolio of products. Give it a spin, or at least enjoy the introduction to understand how many products we have and the different markets where we work.
Love,
Dad
