Our social life in England continues to gain momentum in the New Year. This past Saturday, my teammate Tommaso Tini and his lovely bride Demet invited our colleague Gav McDermott, Cathy, and me to dinner.
We had a fantastic evening that included delicious lasagne, Italian meats, cheeses, and tiramisu. Tommaso started us off with some martini cocktails. We had a sparkling wine, Nyetimber Classic Cuvee, a delicious Italian red from Consorzio del vino Brunello di Montalcino, and a couple of reds from Domain Jones. It is fun to look up these vineyards and know that we can visit them easily in the future.
Your mom and I were moving a little slow on Sunday morning, but we were all smiles thinking of the fun we had. Gav took the train back to his home in Nottingham, where he trains as an elite age-group runner in the 5K. He is sponsored by YETI!
